Depends on the coaches. This was our first season and feel like we could have benefited from more instruction around the fundamentals of the game as well as the whole bracelet pairings.

Know what you’re getting in to. For kids under 9 or 10 years old there’s not a lot of organization to how they play. It gets their energy out but it’s kids running and chucking basketballs. I will say the refs are great at teaching the kids the rules without bogging the kids down in it.

Park dist. Basketball is great for kids. I think it's a good mix of kids that may know how to play with others that are just starting off. The early Saturday mornings can be tough, and parking is crowded. And if you have other children not playing bring some kinda small activity.

Great program! The referees are generally very good about guiding the kids through the rules and teaching them how to play! We’ve lucked out with some great volunteer coaches, too!

Super fun for the kids and great value. There's not a ton of other basketball options for 8 year olds around town, so it's nice having a high value PD option. Practice facilities were not great. We practiced on half court at Mill Street this season, and one of the three hoops was broken and we were asked not to use it. Kind of a bummer. And, there was practice happening on the other half of the court, so it was extremely loud and difficult for the coaches to hold the kids' attention. Also the parking lot at Ft Hill is a zoo. Is what it is I guess. Good program. We'll be back next season.
